Houston-based McNair Interests, a private investment and management firm founded by Texans owner Robert C. McNair, will break ground next year on an upscale mixed-use development anchored by a Rosewood hotel.

The hotel will be the second property in Texas and the ninth in the United States for Dallas-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

“Texas is the birthplace of the Rosewood legacy, which launched with the Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas in 1979, so we are thrilled to expand our presence in one of Texas’ most vibrant cities,” Sonia Cheng, Rosewood Hotel Group’s CEO said in an announcement.
