Texas takes home Governor’s Cup for sixth straight year

For the sixth consecutive year the Lone Star State has taken home Site Selection Magazine’s 2017 Governor’s Cup.

The award goes to the state with the most economic development projects.

Texas dropped from 642 in 2016 to 594 in 2017 but still finished well in front of runner-up Ohio’s 467.

The metros of DFW and Houston also ranked high in the Site Selection Magazine’s 2017 Metro Projects rankings.

Houston took second place with 196 economic development projects.

DFW took third place with 192 projects.
