Port San Antonio’s board of directors on Wednesday approved attorney and aerospace enthusiast Jim Perschbach as president and CEO.
Perschbach was named interim CEO March 28, about a week after previous CEO Roland Mower resigned under pressure from the board.
The board’s resolution authorizes negotiation and execution of contract terms to include salary. It passed 9-2 with board members Marc Whyte and Dan Weingart voting against it.
Perschbach, 47, joined the port in October 2014 as executive vice president of business development. He was previously a partner at Bracewell & Guliani, specializing in industries including aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
