Texas now at 25 straight months of job growth

Texas employers in July marked 25 months of consecutive growth, with seasonally adjusted and benchmarked numbers released by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas on Friday showing 13,100 added jobs .

The statewide unemployment rate held steady at 4.0 percent. The national unemployment rate fell slightly, to 3.9 percent from 4 percent in June.
