Plano’s huge EDS headquarters campus is up for grabs

One of Plano’s biggest business campuses is headed for a sale.

The sprawling EDS headquarters campus was one of the first office centers built in the booming Legacy business park. Since 2008, it has been owned by Hewlett Packard and most recently DXC Technology.

Now commercial property firm CBRE is marketing the 1.6 million-square-foot office campus for sale. The property could fetch close to $125 million, according to New Jersey-based property deal tracker Real Estate Alert.

Opened in 1992, the former EDS complex has two eight-story buildings connected by an upper level bridge of office space.

DXC is using less than 40 percent of the building space and could lease back some of the building after a sale.

“I can confirm that we are going to bring the asset to market,” said John Alvarado, CBRE senior vice president. “We are very early on in the process of underwriting and preparing the offer memorandum.
