Round Rock revisions to make real estate development easier

Round Rock is gearing up for the final stages of a comprehensive revision to its planning and development codes.

It’s the tail-end of a three year process that saw city officials comb through the rules and regulations of the Williamson County city north of Austin to put all of the planning and development codes into one place. At its meeting Nov. 16, members of Round Rock’s Planning and Zoning Commission began the first of three meetings to gather public feedback on the draft code. The next two are on Dec. 7 and Dec. 21. After that, it goes to the City Council for final consideration early next year.
