Another No. 1 for Austin: Texas capital’s home values grew faster than anywhere else over past decade

In the last decade, half of America has struggled with languid home values, while the other half of the country has seen rapidly rising prices. The national leader in the latter category was Austin, where the value of a typical home soared by 64.9 percent between Sept. 30, 2006, and Sept. 30, 2016.
