Westbury Square in Southwest Houston has long been run-down. A Home Depot now sits where there was once a fountain and plaza. Many of the well-loved tenants are long gone.
But now, all 11 buildings of Westbury Square, which sits near the intersection of Chimney Rock and West Bell fort, are coming down in the next 30 days, and a deal is in the works with a major homebuilder to turn about two-thirds of the site into two- and three-story townhomes, said Tom Cervone of Camelot Realty Group, who is representing the buyers of the property.
