United Development Co. buys 11 movie theaters to redesign as retail space

With the purchase of 11 movie theaters, Southlake-based United Development Co. plans to take down the silver screens in favor of other retail development.

The 109-screen movie theater portfolio was created nearly 20 years ago by film and entertainment company The United Artists Media Group, now owned by Regal Entertainment Group. [Dallas Business Journal]
