In his new role, Hicks will oversee the Houston-based developer’s portfolio of luxury apartments and student housing properties. Hicks was previously the managing director of real estate forGreystar, the largest Houston-area residential property management firm, according to HBJ research.
“We have known Clay personally and by reputation for many years and have always wanted to work with him,” Brian Dinerstein, president of The Dinerstein Cos., said in a statement. “His background and expertise make him the perfect person for this role and we are thrilled to bring him on board.”
Hicks was named to the Houston Apartment Association’s inaugural “Forty Under 40” class in 2014, and sits on the Texas Apartment Association’s board of directors. In 2013, he was the chairman of the statewide association’s leadership lyceum committee.
